As a Manufacturing Engineer – Automotive Systems at Bosch Limited, you will play a key role in optimizing and streamlining the manufacturing processes for automotive components and systems. You will work closely with production teams to ensure that high-quality automotive products are produced efficiently, on time, and within budget. You will be responsible for overseeing process design, process improvements, and automation strategies to enhance the productivity and quality of the production line. Your role will involve implementing lean manufacturing principles, maintaining production schedules, and identifying areas for continuous improvement. You will be expected to troubleshoot technical issues, develop solutions, and manage the integration of new technologies and processes into manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for automotive components and systems, ensuring efficiency and product quality. Oversee the integration of new production technologies, machines, and automation systems into the manufacturing process. Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and improve overall productivity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, quality, supply chain) to ensure that product designs are manufacturable and scalable. Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands while minimizing downtime and optimizing resource usage. Analyze production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor process performance and identify areas for improvement. Troubleshoot production issues and lead root cause analysis to implement corrective actions. Develop and update work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production lines. Lead efforts to improve product quality by conducting failure analysis, implementing corrective actions, and reducing variability in production processes. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on the production floor. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure the production process adheres to internal quality standards and customer specifications. Train and mentor production staff in best practices, process improvements, and new technologies.
